Skunk Ridge in October

When we ran over to Skunk Ridge to visit with Meemaw and Peepaw, we were able to give the kids a glimpse of life on a working Christmas Tree Farm. October is tree-spraying month, and Dad invited the kids out for a walk back to the trees so they could see him paint them (Yes, paint them! Pine trees tend to be more yellow-green than evergreen in December, so Mom and Dad give them a little help). Of course, the kids found some interesting things along the way...

Meemaw and Peepaw are going to have some really big Christmas trees this year!
